You're actually supposed to use hair gel, but we didn't have any hair gel lying around so I improvised with Purell.

Maybe you have some of that...

Feathering... here's a link, I'm still really green at the whole thing but with practice I may get it.

As for the seaweed, I just used several colors of chalk ink. Easy peasie.

Coolio - thanks for the info! I'm in the middle of stealing all of Marianne's posts & putting them in a Word file, so I can print them out & make me a pretty little 'study book'. So far, I've only made it from the time she started her blog to May 2009...and I'm at 313ish pages! Thank goodness our printer does 'automatic double-sided' printing. =)

Practice, practice, practice... The sad part is, Emily's going to be just as good, if not better, than me once I figure this out!
